“Music is what life sounds like.”
You’ve had those days haven’t you? Where you just need a song that describes your current feelings or state of mind?
Maybe you are in desperate need of a vacation, or a relationship has fallen apart and you need a good breakup song, or maybe it’s Friday night and you just need a good “going out” song.
Whatever the situation, Eric Olson summed it up by saying “Music is what life sounds like.”
That’s why I really love Google’s recent “Discover Music” release. You can type in a song’s artist, title, or even just a few lyrics and it will pull up a preview of the song using LaLa.com or MySpace.
Think about it. There is a song for every emotion and every life experience (good or bad).
There’s also a song for just about every day of the week:
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday (I don’t know a good song about Thursday. Do you?)
Friday, and
Saturday
What music would you use to describe your day today? Was it easy? Or was it so stressful you need help remembering your name?

It’s not a very positive sounding song – but then again, at this moment I am at work, working on a project I’d give just about anything to be off of, so the song for this hour of my day today is “Break Away” by Three Days Grace.
This is my favorite blog of yours so far Mr. Waid!

Jersey Thursday by Donovan is good, as is Sweet Thursday by Matt Costa (below).
